Even if there is a pantyshot in every shot, like in Strike Witches. I'm here for the nice atmosphere, or physics-defying fights, or pretty girls. I knew there was not going to be any worthwhile plot there. Shuichi is intelligent, loyal, and well-liked, but hides. Just because some elitist doesn't appreciate your cute girls doing cute things show, or your action show, or your harem show, he/she goes all like "you don't notice the lack of plot because of fanservice!". Soon, a girl named Clair discovers his secret and blackmails him into investigating this crazy shit and fighting the gatherers with her. So people can try to smear divergent opinions by labelling you or me feminists, but it's just out of dishonesty. They already got everything you need for an amazing series. The great series don't need to try to make their product appealing by flashing some boobs. That's the easy way to get an audience/views. When I see any kind of fanservice, I automatically assume that the people who made the series knew what they were making wasn't good. I am a woman and I dislike fanservice for the same reasons you do. I agree with you, those damn ecchi fans who can't respect other people's opinions use the term feminist since the word has basically become a joke. Think about an anime and strip down all the fanservice, what's still left? Some series, if you take away the fanservice, you notice that they're is nothing left anymore than underdeveloped characters, lazy written and unexplained storylines and basically most of the time this anime has focused on fanservice other than spending this time in exploring the characters or moving forward with the story."Īnd then some smart asses look at my profile, see that I am a "female" and call me out for being a feminist. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Mob Psycho 100, most seasons of Jojo, Trigun, Yu Yu Hakusho, Shaman King, I wouldn’t consider that molestation scene as fan service, but it definitely is sexual and inappropriate for the kiddo. Anime needs plots, and fanservice is like an extra but when it comes the main focus it means it drops quality for me. Some of my favorite series have fanservice but they know how to balance it well to not make it the main focus. "I don't mind when a series has fanservice, I mean. Because criticizing fanservice= butthurt=feminist? If you're just shitting on it completely then I can see why they would use the trigger word O Nah )
